If building homes is your passion and you have at least three (3) years of work experience in the building and construction industry, then the CPC40120 Certificate IV in Building & Construction (Building) is a great course for you.

This accredited qualification is a critical step in becoming a builder specialising in building Class 1 and 10, to a maximum of two storeys and Class 2 to 9 Type C constructions – providing skills and knowledge in low-rise construction that you can use immediately.

The course has a strong focus on practical skills required to manage a construction site – stepping up to take responsibility for planning and supervising safe building and construction work, preparing and administering contracts, and applying quality principles to building and construction projects.

You will learn about the legal obligations of registered builders, how to arrange building permit applications and approvals, how to read and use plans, how to apply low-rise structural principles, how to estimate principles, and how to manage critical aspects of people – among other key topics.

The Certificate IV in Building and Construction (Building) is structured into clusters, with units spaced apart to allow learners time to research and complete assessment tasks during the course while also continuing their regular job – and can be completed in just over a year (57 weeks).

MBV Training Institute courses are sought after because our approach is led by industry experts and delivered in practical classes that give you the chance to pick up the skills and knowledge that matter.
