The course is best suited to people keen to work in low to medium-rise construction and is designed to meet the needs of a building professional who coordinates the construction of a building and takes responsibility for the overall completion of the job; covering a broad range of key topics that will prepare you for the challenges and opportunities that arise as you lead future commercial and domestic building projects.
You will learn about the overall construction process, including project management and scheduling, key principles of contraction management, how to select and manage building contractors, and how to apply building codes and standards for residential and commercial construction – among many other key topics.
The Diploma of Building and Construction (Building) is structured into clusters, with units spaced apart to allow learners time to research and complete assessment tasks during the course while also continuing their regular job.
